Bluey is Coming to Disney World
Animal Kingdom · Rafiki's Planet Watch
For parents of toddlers, this might be the biggest Walt Disney World news of the year. Disney has confirmed that a brand-new Bluey experience is coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom — and it opens May 26th.
Beginning Memorial Day weekend, Conservation Station and the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch will reopen from their current refurbishment to debut Bluey's Wild World — a new interactive experience featuring Bluey and Bingo.
According to Disney's announcement, guests will take the train back to Conservation Station where they can play and dance with Bluey and Bingo, participate in favorite games from the show (including butterfly keepy uppy), and snap photos with the beloved Blue Heeler pups. Afterward, families can step outside to discover and interact with animals native to Bluey's home country of Australia at a new area called Jumping Junction.
This is a brilliant move by Disney. Rafiki's Planet Watch has historically been a low-traffic area of the park, often skipped by first-time visitors. By placing the most popular children's characters on the planet at the end of a train ride, Disney is instantly turning Conservation Station into a must-do destination and effectively pulling massive crowds away from the congested pathways of Discovery Island and Pandora.
If you're planning a summer trip, factor this into your Animal Kingdom touring plan. The line for the Wildlife Express Train is going to look very different starting Memorial Day weekend.
Your Move: If you are in the parks this week, remember that the train and Conservation Station are currently CLOSED while they build out the Bluey experience. Do not promise your kids a petting zoo visit today — the area is walled off.
Note: Bluey is a massive global phenomenon, and this marks the characters' first permanent installation at Walt Disney World. The experience will continue beyond Cool Kids' Summer. Expect initial wait times to be substantial when it opens.

⚡ Daily Disney QUICK HITS
Big Thunder Mountain Remains Closed — A reminder for Easter week crowds: The wildest ride in the wilderness is down until May for a massive track replacement. Don't hike all the way to the back of Frontierland expecting to ride.
All-Star Sports Pool Closure — If you're checking into All-Star Sports this week, the main Surfboard Bay Pool is closed for refurbishment until late April. You'll need to use the smaller Grand Slam leisure pool or take a short walk over to the All-Star Music pools.
Fantasmic! Time Change Approaching — Enjoy the 8:30 p.m. showtimes while you can. Starting April 24th, Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios will push back to 9:00 p.m. to accommodate the later spring sunsets.
The Muppets Are Moving In — Construction walls are fully up around the former Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios. The ride is undergoing its transformation and will reopen this summer with its highly anticipated new Muppets theme.

The EPCOT Menu Flip: 4 Days Left
If you're eating your way through the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this week, pay close attention to the Farmers Feast booth (located near CommuniCore Hall).
Farmers Feast rotates its menu twice throughout the spring. The current "Early Bloom" menu — which has been highly rated — will only be served through this Sunday, April 5th. On Monday, it switches over to the "Springtime Menu" featuring Heirloom Tomatoes with Fresh Mozzarella, Grilled Beef Strip Loin, and Peach Cobbler.
If you want to try the Early Bloom dishes — including the Grilled Asparagus with pancetta and soft-poached egg and the Scallop with spring pea risotto — this is your last window. Hit it before Sunday.
📊 Today's Crowd Size Snapshot
Magic Kingdom — 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 HEAVY Wednesday of a holiday week is always a pressure cooker at Magic Kingdom. The middle of the week is when resort guests who arrived on Sunday finally hit the flagship park. Pack your patience and prioritize your must-dos before 11:00 a.m.
EPCOT — 🔴🔴🔴🟡⚪ MOD-HEAVY The Flower & Garden Festival booths will be swamped by 1:00 p.m. If you want to eat without waiting 20 minutes per booth, start your lap around the World Showcase exactly at 11:00 a.m. when the kitchens open.
Animal Kingdom — 🔴🔴🔴⚪⚪ MODERATE Still your best bet for breathing room. With Rafiki's Planet Watch closed, the crowds are slightly more condensed around Asia and Africa, but it's nothing compared to the other three parks. Ride Kilimanjaro Safaris before 10:00 a.m. for the most active animals.
Hollywood Studios — 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 HEAVY The Muppets construction walls create a massive chokepoint on Sunset Boulevard. Traffic flow around Tower of Terror is going to be messy all day. Use the My Disney Experience app to mobile order your food at least an hour before you want to eat.
Strategy: If you have Park Hopper tickets, today is the day to use them. Start your morning at Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, knock out your priorities, and when the crowds peak at 2:00 p.m., hop a bus to Animal Kingdom where the pathways are wider and the wait times are dropping.
🌤 7-Day Weather Forecast — Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Trend: The weather is stabilizing beautifully. Today brings morning clouds that will burn off into a gorgeous, sunny afternoon with a high of 84 degrees. Rain chances are low today and Friday, making them your best days for outdoor coasters. Keep an eye on Sunday (Easter) — the rain chances are creeping up, so you may need a backup plan for outdoor brunch reservations.
🎯 Final Take
The Illusion of the "Slow" Day
There's a persistent myth in Disney planning circles that Wednesdays are the "slow" days. The logic goes that people travel on weekends, go to Magic Kingdom on Monday, EPCOT on Tuesday, and take a rest day on Wednesday.
During mid-September? Sure. During Easter week? Throw that logic out the window.
When the parks are operating at peak holiday capacity, there are no slow days. There are no rest days. There is only a continuous stream of humanity from park open to park close.
If you woke up today thinking you could sleep in because it's "just a Wednesday," you are going to be staring at a 90-minute wait for Peter Pan's Flight by 10:30 a.m. The rules don't change just because it's the middle of the week. Rope drop is still mandatory. Lightning Lane strategy is still critical. The midday break is still your best friend.
Stick to the plan. Don't get complacent.
See you tomorrow.
