Friday, March 20
Good morning.
Best weather day of the week. 78ยฐF, mostly sunny, low rain chance. This is the day you planned for when you booked this trip.
It's also the last full day of spring break week one before the local Florida crowds head home this weekend. Monday starts the calm window we've been telling you about. But today? Today is still peak. Treat it accordingly.
Here's what matters today.

Disney Just Gave a First Look Inside the Refurbished Buzz Lightyear โ And It Looks Like a Different Ride
Disney released video this week of the refurbished Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and it's not just a fresh coat of paint. The ride looks genuinely transformed.
The new handheld blasters have always-on lasers so you can actually see where you're aiming โ something the original fixed blasters never offered. The targets are fully digital now, lighting up and reacting when hit. New ride vehicles have built-in screens showing your real-time score, and a new character named Buddy walks you through a target practice scene before launch. The on-ride photo now shows your final score and rank โ Galactic Hero bragging rights included.
Cast member playtests are already underway, which typically means soft openings for guests could start 2-3 weeks before the official April 8 opening date. If you're visiting in late March, keep an eye on the app โ Buzz could appear as an available ride with no announcement.
The move: If you're planning an April or May trip, this ride just jumped up the priority list. It's going to draw huge crowds at reopening. Rope drop Tomorrowland on opening week or you'll be staring at a 90-minute wait by 10am.

โก Daily Disney QUICK HITS
Pop Century Lobby Gets Controversial Refresh โ Disney replaced the beloved shadow boxes full of nostalgic '70s-'90s memorabilia with vinyl wall wraps and brighter graphics. The rooms and pool bar also got updates. The space is undeniably brighter and more modern โ but longtime fans are not happy about losing the collectibles. If you loved the old lobby, it's gone. If you've never been, you won't miss what you didn't see.
New Disney Cruise Ship Announced: Disney Believe โ A new Wish-class ship joins the fleet. Details are still light, but it confirms Disney Cruise Line continues to expand aggressively. If you've been thinking about a Disney cruise for 2027 or 2028, more ships means more availability and potentially better pricing.
Figment Update from the New CEO โ At yesterday's shareholder meeting, Disney's new CEO was asked about Figment's future in the parks. The response was positive but non-specific โ essentially confirming Disney knows fans care about the purple dragon and that something is in the works. No timeline, no details, but it's on their radar.
Victoria & Albert's Announces New Chef โ Disney World's most exclusive restaurant at the Grand Floridian has a new head chef. If you have a V&A reservation in your future, the menu may shift. This is the kind of change that food-focused visitors should keep an eye on.
Daily Disney Insider Tip
The night owl rule that most Disney families have no idea exists.
Here's a Disney policy that changes everything once you know it: as long as you are physically standing in line before the park officially closes, Disney will let you ride. Period.
It doesn't matter if the posted wait is 45 minutes and the park closes in 10. If you're in that queue before the clock hits closing time, you're riding that ride.
Here's what that means in practice. At 8:45pm, while thousands of exhausted families are loading strollers, fighting the exit crowd, and hunting for their car in the Goofy section of the parking lot โ you're walking straight to the headliner with a fraction of the normal wait.
You ride. You walk out. And you get to experience something most Disney guests never see: an empty park. Main Street with nobody on it. Cinderella Castle lit up against a quiet night sky. The smell of popcorn still hanging in the air. No crowds. No noise.
It is genuinely one of the most beautiful things Disney World has to offer. And it belongs exclusively to the families willing to stay until the very end.
This is not for everyone. If you have little ones who crash at 7pm, this tip isn't for you and that's completely fine. But if your family runs late and thrives after dark โ Disney World saves its best moments for you. With Magic Kingdom open until 11pm all week, tonight is the night to test it.
๐ Today's Crowd Size Snapshot
Magic Kingdom โ Heavy. Last Friday of spring break week one. Beautiful weather means full parks. Rope drop or use the night owl strategy tonight โ park is open until 11pm.
EPCOT โ Heavy. Perfect festival weather. Booth lines peak 11amโ2pm. Evening is your best window for food and shorter waits on rides.
Animal Kingdom โ Moderate-Heavy. Great weather for Safaris and the outdoor layout. Rope drop Flight of Passage, then enjoy the shade-heavy walkways at a relaxed pace.
Hollywood Studios โ Heavy. Rise, Tower, Slinky Dog โ the usual spring break bottleneck. Rope drop Rise, then work backward through the park.
Strategy: This is your best weather day. Use it on whichever park matters most to you. If Magic Kingdom is the one, get there at rope drop, knock out headliners by noon, take a midday break, and come back at 9pm for the night owl play. You'll ride Space Mountain, TRON, or Pirates with practically no wait and walk out into an empty Main Street. That's the move.
๐ค Day Weather Forecast for Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Trend: Steady climb from here through the weekend. Friday is the standout โ clear skies, comfortable temps, and the kind of day that makes you forget what 61ยฐF on Tuesday felt like. The weekend stays warm and mostly dry. Monday starts the hidden calm week with continued good weather. If you're here through next week, the conditions are lining up beautifully.
Most families leave Disney World having never seen it quiet. They experience the crowds, the lines, the noise, the heat โ and they go home thinking that's all there is.
The ones who stay until the end know better. An empty Main Street at 11:15pm. Cinderella Castle with nobody in front of it. The kind of moment that doesn't require a Lightning Lane or a reservation or a strategy. Just the willingness to outlast everyone else.
Tonight, the park is open until 11. The weather is perfect. And most families will leave after fireworks.
Be the ones who stay.
See you tomorrow.
