Good morning. Walt Disney World is moving through a late-February mix of weather shifts, rising crowds, and quiet park changes as the resort inches toward spring break season. A brief cold snap has temporarily closed Blizzard Beach — leaving Disney World without a water park — while after-hours events and peak-season demand continue selling out across the parks. Entertainment adjustments and operational tweaks are already rolling into March, and fresh aerial footage and project updates are giving fans a wider look at what’s evolving across the resort. From weather-driven changes to shifting crowd patterns, the spring ramp-up is officially underway.

🎬 Disney Animation Is Returning to Hollywood Studios
Disney is bringing animation back to the spotlight at Hollywood Studios with a reimagined version of the former Star Wars Launch Bay building. The new experience — “The Magic of Disney Animation” — is set to open in late summer 2026 and will immerse guests inside the creative world of Walt Disney Animation Studios.
The space will feature interactive environments modeled after real animation departments, hands-on drawing activities, and character encounters throughout the experience. An Audio-Animatronics Olaf is also expected to greet guests, while the surrounding Animation Courtyard will be refreshed to resemble the iconic Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, complete with updated meet-and-greet locations and themed storytelling spaces.
Why it matters: This is shaping up to be one of the biggest family-focused additions coming to Walt Disney World in 2026 — and a major shift back toward classic Disney animation inside Hollywood Studios. Check out the first video below for a great early look at what’s coming.
