It's Tuesday of Easter week. If you survived yesterday's afternoon thunderstorms, congratulations — you've earned today's forecast. We're looking at 82 degrees and a much lower chance of rain.
But the real story is in Tomorrowland. Disney handed Easter week crowds an unexpected gift yesterday, and if you haven't heard yet, you're about to find out why it matters.

This is not a minor footnote. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is a high-capacity omnimover attraction — the same continuous-loading ride system used by Haunted Mansion and "it's a small world." That means it can absorb thousands of guests per hour without ever stopping. During Easter week, when Magic Kingdom is running at capacity and every minute of standby time feels like a negotiation, an extra omnimover in Tomorrowland is the equivalent of opening a pressure valve.
The refurbishment brought visible upgrades: a brand-new exterior marquee with updated graphics, a refreshed opening scene that sets the mission briefing in higher detail, and retouched targets throughout the ride that make the scoring system feel sharper and more responsive. The beloved "Emperor Zurg" finale remains intact. If you haven't ridden in a few years, it will feel noticeably cleaner and more polished.
Here's the critical operational note: because this is a soft opening, it will not appear in Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Disney does not add soft-opened attractions to the LL system until the official opening date. That means there is no virtual queue, no Lightning Lane option, and no way to "book" it in advance. It is a pure standby play — which, counterintuitively, is exactly what makes it valuable right now.
Soft openings also come with a catch: the attraction can go down at any time without notice. Disney uses soft openings to stress-test systems, train Cast Members on live crowds, and identify any remaining technical issues. If you walk up and find it temporarily closed, check back in 20 minutes. It will likely reopen. The key is to treat it as a bonus, not a guarantee.
Your Move: Head to Tomorrowland first thing this morning. The word is out now — yesterday's standby waits stayed manageable, but social media has had 24 hours to spread the news. Early morning is still your best window. Look for the new marquee sign, get in line, defeat Zurg. Then go get your Multi Pass selections.
Note: Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is appropriate for all ages and has no height requirement. Average ride time is approximately 4.5 minutes. The ride uses handheld laser blasters to score points by hitting targets — kids and competitive adults will want to ride more than once.

The Disney Springs Bus Trap — and How to Dodge It
If you're staying off-property and planned to use Disney Springs as a free parking and transportation hub to get to the resorts this week, cancel that plan immediately.
Disney has restricted bus service from Disney Springs to the resort hotels. It is now exclusively for on-site resort guests. Cast Members are stationed at the bus stops scanning MagicBands to verify resort stays, dining reservations, or booked recreation activities. If you don't have one of those three things, you aren't getting on the bus.
This is a temporary Easter week crowd-control measure — but Disney didn't announce it. They just started turning people away. If you need to get to a resort for a dining reservation, make sure your app is open and ready to prove it. Otherwise, order a rideshare.

Hollywood Studios — 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 HEAVY Lightning Lanes are selling out in record time. If you don't secure Slinky Dog Dash by 7:05am, you're waiting 100 minutes in the unshaded Toy Story Land sun. Rise of the Resistance is the morning wildcard — check the app before you commit.
Strategy: The midday break is not a suggestion this week — it is a survival requirement. The parks peak between 1pm and 4pm. That is exactly when you should be horizontally aligned next to your resort pool. Let the amateurs fight over pavement space in Fantasyland while you recharge for the evening shift.
