Good morning.
Fantasmic! debuted its new 9 PM showtime at Hollywood Studios last night, the first of several summer-schedule shifts rolling in. Flower & Garden keeps luring locals into EPCOT for Outdoor Kitchens and Garden Rocks through June 1. Sunday looks like a soaker, so front-load Saturday if parks are on the menu. And if your park legs are already cooked, Disney Springs is right there on the east side of the resort. Free to enter. No reservation. No excuses.
Here's what matters today.

Disney Springs is the day your family vacation actually needs
Most first-time Disney families stack four park days back to back and wonder why everyone's fried by day three. There's a better way, and it lives on 120 acres at Walt Disney World with free parking and no entrance gate.
Disney Springs is Walt Disney World's outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment district, and it might be the most underused planning tool in a Disney trip. No park ticket. No reservation. Just walk in.
Why it matters
Parking is free. Three garages (Orange, Lime, Grapefruit) and two surface lots. Lime just reopened in mid-March. The My Disney Experience app shows live garage capacity so you can pick the right one before you arrive.
Dole Whip without a park ticket. Swirls on the Water in the Marketplace serves pineapple, seasonal flavors, and a three-flavor Dole Whip Flight. Marketplace Snacks a few steps away slings cups, floats, and the legendary Dole Whip Nachos. No admission required.
Food from casual to white-tablecloth. The Boathouse for steaks and seafood on the water. Raglan Road for Irish pub food. Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' for Southern (order the fried chicken). T-Rex Cafe for animatronic dinosaurs over dinner.
World's largest Disney store. World of Disney is 51,000 square feet and 12 rooms of Mickey ears, plush, pins, and apparel. Next door, the LEGO Store is free to walk into, with outdoor Disney-themed sculptures and a Minifigure Factory where kids design their own.
The balloon. Aerophile floats 400 feet over the West Side on an 8-minute flight with 10-mile views. $29.99 adults, $24.99 kids 3 to 9, first-come first-served. A brand-new balloon launched in late February.
The Amphicars. The only place in the world to cruise a vintage 1960s amphibious car around Lake Buena Vista. $125 per car, up to 4 people, 20 minutes on the water. Spend $50 at The Boathouse first and save $25 on the tour.
Planning edge
Drop Disney Springs into the middle of your trip, not the end. No entrance gate, no rope drop pressure, and it costs exactly what you choose to spend. Park at Orange Garage if you aren't sure where to start. Marketplace is to the right, Town Center straight ahead, The Landing past that, and West Side (with Aerophile) to the left.

Daily Disney Insider Tip
Got a kid too short for Space Mountain, or tall enough but refusing to ride? Don't split up and wait in line twice. Use Rider Switch.
Walk the whole party up to the attraction entrance and tell a cast member you want Rider Switch. They scan whoever's staying behind with the kid and drop a Lightning Lane entitlement into My Disney Experience for when the first group finishes. First group rides. Swap. Second group walks up the Lightning Lane.
It works at every attraction with a height requirement and a handful of others, it stacks with your Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and it's free. Single best parenting hack in the parks.
๐ Today's Crowd Size Snapshot
Magic Kingdom - Heavy. Saturday magnet, pre-storm push. Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, and TRON will be ugly.
EPCOT - Heavy. Flower & Garden pulls locals hard; back half of World Showcase fills after 3 PM.
Animal Kingdom - Moderate. Your pressure valve today. Breathable before noon.
Hollywood Studios - Heavy. Weekend crowds plus the new 9 PM Fantasmic! means late-day pressure.
Strategy: Open at Animal Kingdom, hop to EPCOT after lunch for Outdoor Kitchens and Luminous at 9 PM. Save MK and HS for weekdays if you've got the flexibility.

๐ข The Porthole - Disney Cruise Line
Disney Destiny, the newest ship in the DCL fleet, departs Port Everglades today on a 5-night Western Caribbean run. The 4,000-passenger Destiny debuted in November 2025 as Disney's first heroes-and-villains themed ship. On board: a Wakanda-inspired atrium with a Black Panther statue, a two-story Iron Man tower suite, the new Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King rotational dining experience, and the Haunted Mansion Parlor lounge. She sails year-round from Fort Lauderdale on 4- and 5-night Bahamian and Western Caribbean itineraries.
๐ค 7-Day Weather Forecast โ Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Trend: Wet Sunday breaks an otherwise pleasant stretch. Warming push into upper 80s midweek with mid-60s overnight lows keeping rope drop comfortable.
๐ฏ Final Take
The best Disney trips are paced.
Most families sprint through four parks and hit a wall by day three. The planning skill isn't cramming more in. It's knowing when to do less.
Half-day at the resort. Mid-afternoon break. A slow evening instead of closing down the park.
You can't enjoy Disney tired.
See you tomorrow.
