Tuesday, April 14
Good morning.
It's 83 degrees with zero percent rain chance through Wednesday, Big Thunder is 19 days away, and right now at Magic Kingdom there's a family standing in an 85-minute line for TRON while a 10-minute elevated tour of Tomorrowland sits completely empty thirty feet above their heads.
This newsletter is for the family that doesn't know about the ride above their heads.
Here's what matters today.

The Rides Nobody's in Line For Are Some of the Best Ones in the Park.
Every family at Disney World is standing in the same six lines. TRON. Rise of the Resistance. Seven Dwarfs. Flight of Passage. Slinky Dog. Guardians. The headliners get all the attention, all the Lightning Lane demand, and all the wait time.
Meanwhile, some of the most enjoyable experiences in the parks are sitting at five-minute waits all day long. Not because they're bad. Because nobody knows they're there.
The veterans know. The repeat visitors know. The families reading this newsletter know. And after today, you'll know too.
Magic Kingdom
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is a 10-minute elevated tour of the entire land. You glide above the crowds on a magnetically propelled track, pass through the interior of Space Mountain in the dark, catch a glimpse of Buzz Lightyear's queue from above, and see architectural models of Walt Disney's original EPCOT concept. There is almost never a line. You walk on, sit down, and float above Tomorrowland while everyone below you is sweating through a 70-minute queue. It's one of the most relaxing experiences at Disney World and it costs you nothing but ten minutes.
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is a 21-minute air-conditioned show that takes you through 100 years of American innovation with an Audio-Animatronic family. Four rotating stages. A theme song that will live in your head for weeks. It was Walt Disney's personal favorite attraction. It's practically empty every single day. If you need a break from the heat, the crowds, and the noise - this is the smartest 21 minutes you'll spend at Magic Kingdom.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a classic dark ride through the Hundred Acre Wood that rarely breaks a 15-minute wait. The Heffalumps and Woozles scene alone is worth the detour. Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid is the same story - a beautiful clamshell ride-through with gorgeous animatronics and almost no line. Both are in Fantasyland. Both are air-conditioned. Both are the kind of rides your kids will talk about because the experience was charming, not because the line was long.
EPCOT
Living with the Land is a relaxing boat ride through actual working greenhouses where Disney grows real produce that ends up in EPCOT's restaurants. You'll float past hydroponic tomatoes, aquaponic fish farms, and experimental growing techniques - all inside a climate-controlled pavilion with a five-minute wait. It's one of the most genuinely interesting things at EPCOT and most families speed right past it on their way to Soarin'.
The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a gentle ride through a massive saltwater aquarium - and the aquarium itself after the ride is one of the best things in all of EPCOT that most families never see. Dolphins. Sea turtles. Manatees. Sharks behind floor-to-ceiling glass. You could spend 45 minutes in there and most people walk straight to the exit without realizing what they're passing.
Journey Into Imagination with Figment is a walk-on almost every time. It's quirky. It's weird. Your kids will love the purple dragon who steals every scene. And you'll be on and off the ride before the family next to you finishes typing their Lightning Lane confirmation for Test Track.
Hollywood Studios
Star Tours has been around for decades and the wait rarely cracks 20 minutes. But here's what most people don't realize - the ride has dozens of randomized storyline combinations across the entire Star Wars universe. You might visit Jakku one ride and Coruscant the next. Darth Vader might show up, or Kylo Ren, or the Mandalorian. It's one of the most re-rideable attractions on property because it's genuinely different every time you board. Twenty minutes in line for a ride you can do three times in an hour and get three different experiences? That math works.
Animal Kingdom
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail is a self-guided walking experience through a tropical forest where you're face to face with western lowland gorillas, hippos, meerkats, and zebras. No line. No wait. No FastPass. No Lightning Lane. Just you, the animals, and some of the most immersive habitat design Disney has ever built. Most families walk right past the entrance without ever knowing it's there because it doesn't look like a ride queue. It's not a ride. It's better.
The families who have the best Disney days aren't standing in the longest lines. They're the ones who know what everyone else is walking past.

runDisney Springtime Surprise Starts Thursday โ Race weekend runs April 16-20. Course routes impact EPCOT and Hollywood Studios morning access April 17-19. Expect heavier crowds at both parks as finishers flood in mid-morning. Adjust your rope drop plans accordingly.

Daily Disney Insider Tip
The 2pm pivot that changes your whole afternoon.
When the headliner wait times spike after lunch โ and they always spike after lunch โ that's your cue to stop chasing the big rides and start hitting the hidden gems. Stack three or four low-wait attractions between 2pm and 4pm while the crowds are grinding through 90-minute queues. PeopleMover, Carousel of Progress, Living with the Land, Star Tours โ you can ride all four in the time it takes one family to get through a single TRON cycle.
Then go back to the headliners after 7pm when wait times drop for fireworks and parades. You'll ride more total attractions in a day than the family that white-knuckled every 90-minute line from open to close.
๐ Today's Crowd Size Snapshot
Magic Kingdom โ Moderate. Tuesday crowds are consistently among the lightest of the week at MK. Post-Easter shoulder continues. Excellent day for Fantasyland and Adventureland.
EPCOT โ Light-Moderate. Festival baseline. World Showcase is comfortable and the Springtime menus at the Outdoor Kitchens are still running fresh. Guardians at rope drop is the play.
Animal Kingdom โ Light. Gorgeous weather for Safaris. AK remains the most relaxed park experience week over week. Don't skip Gorilla Falls โ today's the day.
Hollywood Studios โ Moderate. Rise is running. Tower and Slinky Dog are comfortable. Smugglers Run scaffolding visible but the current mission is still operating.
Strategy: Tuesday is the midweek sweet spot. Every park is running lighter than it will be this weekend when runDisney energy arrives. If you've been saving a park day for ideal conditions โ 83 degrees, no rain, moderate crowds โ today is it. EPCOT and Animal Kingdom are the highest-value plays given the weather and crowd combination.
๐ค 7-Day Weather Forecast โ Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Trend: Tuesday through Friday is one of the driest stretches you'll see all spring โ four consecutive days with virtually no rain and highs in the low-to-mid 80s. Friday pushes to 87, which is the warmest day of the stretch. The weekend brings runDisney crowds plus a slight uptick in afternoon rain chances, and by Monday the typical PM shower pattern returns. If you're picking your best park days this week, Tuesday through Thursday is the golden window before race weekend changes the equation.
๐ฏ Final Take
Disney World has over 50 rides across four parks. Most families ride about 12 of them โ the same 12 everyone else rides โ and spend 60% of their day standing in line for the privilege.
The families who ride 20 in a day aren't superhuman. They're not gaming the system. They just know that the ride with the five-minute wait is often just as good as the ride with the 90-minute wait โ and sometimes better.
Nobody's Instagram story ever featured the PeopleMover. But the family that rode it three times, hit Carousel of Progress, floated through Living with the Land, and walked the Gorilla Falls trail? They had a better day than the family that stood in four lines and rode four rides.
More rides. Less waiting. That's the whole game.
See you tomorrow.
